Friendly Visits with an Elderly Person

Category :: Seniors
Share |
Little Brothers--Friends of the Elderly is a non-profit organization devoted to the low-income elderly population throughout Boston. Volunteers provide companionship to lonely elders who have little or no family or social connections. We are currently looking for individuals who are willing to devote some free time to help our cause. This is a great family volunteer opportunity.

If you have 3 to 4 hours a month of free time, consider visiting with an elder on a weekly basis, or helping us with parties and picnics throughout the summer months. If you have free time during the work week, you can help us with in-office work, such as calling elders and chatting with them for awhile, or helping send out mailings and birthday cards.

Skills:
Per Massachusetts law, all volunteers must pass a criminal background check. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
