Visit an elder for Easter/Passover

Category :: Seniors

Would you like to spend one day doing something for someone else? Volunteer with Little Brothers-Friends of the Elderly for EASTER! This is a great opportunity for a family, group, or individual volunteer.

Our organization provides companionship to low-income elders in the city of Boston. Our elders are over 70, live on less than $8000 a year, and have no one to spend the holiday with. Visiting Volunteers will bring a meal and flowers to an elder and spend time visiting with them. Most importantly, they will bring compassion and caring.

Our elders resign in all neighborhoods of Boston. Meals and flowers will be picked up at Northeastern University.

If you're interested in visiting an elder on Easter Sunday, please e-mail Megan at [email protected], or call 617-524-8882. You will need to fill out a brief application and CORI form.

Per Massachusetts law, all volunteers must pass a criminal background check. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
